This past October, my class at the Deering Estate made Bat Houses. There were really easy and cheap. We used a plan that my teacher got from the internet. He had to use the electric saw but we did the rest.

This is the plan for the bat house that we built.

Bats are great. They eat so many bugs, especially, mosquitoes. My mom told me that as part of their annual charitable contribution through my dad’s work they have been giving to the Bat Conservation League for years. She also told me about the Florida bonneted bat (Eumops floridanus).
