Summer Wrap Up

Micta

My last post was about the shows in Tampa, FL. Since then, I have been to two more shows. First, was Orlando where Micta did a great job both days. She went First in 6 to 9 months, Winners, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed Owner Handler, both days also she received 3 point majors. So proud of her!

Then this past weekend we went up to the West Palm Beach show. We stayed with our friend and one of the breeders of Micta, Richard of Del Rey Xoloitzcuintlis. We had a great time. We went to eat at Rosie’s, where I had the Sofonda Elvis burger with bananas and peanut butter. My mom always wants to eat there because of this other burger they have. We swam in the pool, which was really hot even at 10 at night. Micta did really well and we even brought the latest edition, Xima.

At the show we only entered two of the four days, Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Micta, went 2nd in 6 to 9 months and on Saturday, she went 1st and got Reserve.

I am only 1 point away from finishing her now!!!! She is only 8 months and I have only been showing her for a very short time.

Xima is only 5 months old. Richard had a surprise for me with her. He took me over to the catalog table and showed me her entry and it had me listed as one of her owners. I thought we were only having her at our house to socialize her, but now she is part mine. She is so cute and beautiful. I cannot wait to show her in the other rings other than the puppy ring. She came in 4th both days, but at least she placed, and she did very well. She is going to be great.

The dress I am wearing in the Saturday pictures is from a great thrift show in Wilton Manors that all the money they make goes to dog and cat rescue. We thought it looked good because it looked sort of like a Mexican design to go with the Mexican dogs. I thought it was pretty and super comfortable.
