Last week in my class at the Deering Estate here in south Florida we had a substitute teacher for my environmental conservation course. His name is Rangel Diaz. He is a Naturalist that loves Birds. He was a great teacher. He taught us so much about birds. He took the class into the land around the Deering Estate with binoculars so we could see as many birds as we could. We found a spotted sand piper, a red headed woodpecker, a turkey vulture and some others. It was nice to have a teacher that used words that we did not understand but who explained them to us so now we know them. Like someone who studies birds is called an Ornithologist.

He loves dogs too. He has a Bull Terrier named Moh. He even had a picture of his dog tattooed on his leg. I hope he becomes our teacher for the class.
