Every December, the second largest dog show in the US is held in Orlando. There are cluster shows during the week, Tuesday through Thursday, Friday has speciality shows, and the weekend is the Royal Canin show split in to two days, with Best In Show on Sunday night.
This year, I was invited to exhibit in the National Owner Handler Series with Q, my Norwegian Buhund. You have to be in the top 10 in the country to be invited. Q and I are number Five!
I did not go last year to this show because I did not have a dog to show. This year, however, I am going!!! I am going to help my friends, Melody and her daughter, Morgan, in the picture below, by showing their dog, Rumour the Portuguese Water Dog (in the pic below),
for them because they can not make the dates. I am also helping another friend, who has too many dogs to show. That one is a Tibetan Spaniel. Also, I will be showing a Xoloitzcuintli that I had at my house a couple of years ago, named Blondie. Isn’t she great? I cannot wait to work with her again.
The new puppy, the Curly Coated Retriever, is too young. He will have to wait until January to show. He is just three months and three weeks old right now and the cut off is six months.
