I am sad to tell everyone that Alex the praying mantis has died. She did live a very long life for her type of praying mantis that was in a terrarium. She grew to be 5″ long and lived for six months. I think that her type can live for up to a year but that is not normal.

She had a good life eating bugs and providing much entertainment for the cats. Her terrarium was next to the back of the couch and the cats loved to sit and watch her tank.

I miss her.
