I submitted a proposal idea to the O, Miami Poetry Festival contest and was awarded a place in the festival that was supposed to happen this past month in April. Unfortunately, the festival was canceled. It was a great event that I had planned.

I structured the event around the AKC sport, Rally-O. This is a great sport that uses dog obedience to navigate a course. My event would have been based on that premise.

I created three courses. Each course was about a different stage of friendship. Each station in the course the handler and their dog had to read aloud the verse of the poem and complete an action moving them towards the end of the course.

Look for this event next year at Tropical Park in Miami. You can get some practice in until then. Here is a video to get you started.
